Consumer Limited Warranty for Garmin Products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM COUNTRY TO COUNTRY. GARMIN DOES NOT EXCLUDE, LIMIT, OR SUSPEND OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE UNDER THE LAWS OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA. FOR A FULL UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR RIGHTS, YOU SHOULD CONSULT THE LAWS OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA.

Garmin products purchased in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia come with a warranty ensuring they are free from defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase, with the specific duration varying depending on each product as illustrated below. Within this period, Garmin® will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacements will be made at no charge to the customer for parts or labor, provided that the customer shall be responsible for any transportation cost.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to:

  1. Cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks, and dents.
  2. Consumable parts, such as batteries, unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
  3. Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, flood, fire, or other acts of nature or external causes or force majeure.
  4. Malfunction due to the consumer failing to follow instructions and being negligent.
  5. Fail to undertake routine maintenance by the manufacturer’s recommendations
  6. Damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized service provider of Garmin.
  7. Damage to a product that has been modified or altered without the written permission of Garmin.
  8. Damage to a product that has been connected to power and/or data cables that are not supplied by Garmin or damage to a product that has been connected to AC adapters and cables that are not certified by relevant regulatory authorities.
  9. Garmin reserves the right to refuse warranty claims against products or services that are obtained and/or used in contravention of the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In addition, Garmin navigation products are intended to be used only as a travel aid and must not be used for any purpose requiring precise measurement of direction, distance, location, or topography. Garmin makes no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of map data.

This Limited Warranty also does not apply to, and Garmin is not responsible for, any degradation in the performance of any Garmin navigation product resulting from its use in proximity to any handset or other device that utilizes a terrestrial broadband network operating on frequencies that are close to the frequencies used by any Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) such as the Global Positioning Service (GPS). The use of such devices may impair the reception of GNSS signals.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES CONTAINED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF, AND GARMIN EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS, ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, STATUTORY REMEDY, OR OTHERWISE. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM COUNTRY TO COUNTRY.

IN NO EVENT SHALL GARMIN BE LIABLE IN A CLAIM FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER RESULTING FROM THE USE MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT OR FROM DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT. SOME COUNTRIES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

If during the warranty period you submit a claim for warranty service in accordance with this Limited Warranty, then Garmin will, at its option:

  1. Repair the device using new parts or previously used parts that satisfy Garmin’s quality standards.
  2. Replace the device with a new device or a Garmin Recertified device that meets Garmin’s quality standards.
  3. If the requested model is unavailable, an alternative upgraded model may be offered, with the customer having the option to proceed by covering the price difference.

SUCH REMEDY SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY. Repaired or replaced devices have a 90-day warranty. If the device sent in is still under its original warranty, then the new warranty is 90 days or to the end of the original 1-year warranty, whichever is longer.

Before initiating warranty service, we encourage you to refer to and review the online support resources accessible on support.garmin.com. If your device persists in encountering issues even after consulting these materials, please contact a Garmin Authorized service facility in the KSA at 8001240435 (international call: +966112253777) or via email at [email protected].

If your Garmin product requires warranty service outside of Saudi Arabia, it’s crucial to understand that Garmin cannot guarantee the availability of necessary parts and products for repair or replacement. This limitation is attributed to differences in product offerings, along with variations in standards, laws, and regulations.

In such instances, Garmin, at its discretion and in compliance with applicable laws, may opt to repair your product using similar parts, replace it with a comparable Garmin product (whether new or a Garmin Recertified replacement), or request you to send your product to a Garmin Authorized Service facility in Saudi Arabia or another country capable of servicing your product.

Should you need to send your product abroad for service, you will be responsible for adhering to all relevant import and export laws. Additionally, you will need to cover costs such as customs duties, VAT, shipping fees, and any other associated taxes and charges.

It’s essential to note that there may be situations where Garmin and its dealers are unable to service your product in a specific country outside of Saudi Arabia or return a repaired or replaced product to you due to the standards, laws, or regulations of that particular country.

In the case of warranty repairs for products purchased in a foreign country, you may also be subject to minimum standard service charges when the repair is carried out at a Garmin-authorized service facility in that specific country.
